Coach Kristen Foster

Kristen was a former cheerleader and graduate of Ponderosa High School.  She graduated in 1999 and went on to attend college at CU Denver.  She earned a Bachelors Degree with a major in Behavioral Science and a minor in Business Management.  Kristen married her high school sweetheart, Jon, in April of 2006.  They just had their first child, Holden Michael, on April 18th, 2009. 

As Kristen's first year as head coach, her team made it into the finals at the state competition, the first time that any Ponderosa cheer team has done so.  As well as many other huge accomplishments, Kristen's cheer team placed 1st at their league championship and 2nd at their state championship in 2009.  This was only the 2nd time the cheer team has won a league title and the highest they have ever placed at the state competition. 

Kristen not only feels it important to be competitive at the state level, but to also teach the girls lifelong valuable lessons that they will be able to carry with them throughout life.

Coach Jeanie Balagna

Jeanie is an elementary school teacher in the Cherry Creek School District.  For the last twelve years she has taught at Peakview Elementary. She is currently teaching fourth grade, but has also taught Kindergarten through fifth grade.  This is Jeanie's seventh year of coaching.  Her first five years  of coaching were at Grandview High School.  In April of 2007, she joined Ponderosa as the JV Coach.  As a coach, Jeanie encourages her athletes to always work hard and good things will happen inside and outside of cheerleading.  Jeanie and her husband, Tom, are the proud parents of Lia 23, Leesie 19, and Michael 18.
